We said we’d take it steadier this year… but Issue 124 is 95% finished already as well! There’s also potentially a few special issues we’re working or or thinking about… still busy, still putting the zine out. Cheers for those who support us.

New issue out now!
We are pleased to announce that the new issue of Lights Go Out is released today!!!
Featuring interviews with Dead Low and Bat Flattery. There’s live reviews of The Stupids and My Life Story. Stacks of music reviews and zine reviews. The latest Now Then Gadgie installment from Marv. Digging Into The Archives features Man Overboard. On top of that we have columns that include a book review and small Jesus Jones mention. If you fancy a copy, please do grab one from our shop here: https://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-122
Why not grab some back issues and a keyring too!
Issue 123 is actually already in the can as well, so we’ll probably get that one out into the world in May, so keep your eyes peeled for this one too.
So that’s the good news. The bad news is that once again the bloody Royal Mail have kicked their prices up so we’ve sadly had to raise the postage costs, this sucks and we hate doing it. But we have it set as one price per order which means if you order a load of zines, it’s only one postal charge. So there’s that incentive for you if it helps.
Cheers for all the support as ever.

In zine news, the new issue is finished, we just need to get it down to the printers so that they can work their magic. It should be this week, so we will hopefully have a new issue for you all next week to check out.
Cheers for all the support.

2024…. 2 new issues!!!
Happy new year everyone!
So we said we were going to slow down a bit this year after 12 issues in 2023…. so it seems that we’ve started off the year with not one, but two new issues of the zine!
Issue 120 is an extended special edition of “Digging Into The Archives”. Featuring: Sidi Bou Said, Burning Heads, New Model Army, Thrice, Super Furry Animals, Skunk Anansie, Celebrity Skin, Stormkeep, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Dear Mr. President, Taking Back Sunday, Velvet Crush & Empire Records.
Issue 121 is along the usual lines and features There’s Always Time, With Honor, Digging Into The Archives: Transvision Vamp, Superchunk: Live Review, Columns (Movies: Monster Force Zero, 10/31 Part III), Now Then Gadgie, Music Reviews and Zine Reviews.
Both issues are out now! Available here:
Issue 120: https://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-120
Issue 121: https://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-121
Or if you feel like you’d quite like to pick up a copy of both zines and love a bargain by only having one postal charge, then you can get a copy of both new issues from our site here: https://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-120-issue-121

Issue 119 out now!
The final issue of Lights Go Out for 2023 is out now!!!
One final instalment and this time we’ve used the pages to catch up with a load of columns (Now Then Gadgie, “Albums That Shaped My Teenage Years” by Emily Ewing, Movies and Kiss from Devin and more, also a chat with session musician Greg Rozzy Ison. There are also a lot of pages of reviews as we try and fit as many in as we can. Also this is the first cover we’ve had without information on it, just trying something different out for a change.
If you fancy a copy, please grab one from us here: https://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-119
We’re not going to be doing a zine a month next year – so no annual subscriptions I’m afraid. But… we do actually have another issue finished already! Issue 120 is complete and we are working on issue 121 – so they will probably be out quite early on in the new year – keep those eyes peeled!
Cheers for all the support over 2023, have a good one.
